Fairview Hospital's Level III Birthing Center is looking to add a Unit Support Assistant to their dedicated team of caregivers. The Birthing Center cares for all types of pregnancies, from normal to complex, and encompasses 13 labor/delivery/recovery rooms (LDRs), three operating rooms, a 3-bed recovery room, one inpatient room and one triage room. As a Unit Support Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment, transporting patients, maintaining established levels of supplies and proper equipment function and completing errands. **A caregiver in this role works nights from 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. with weekend requirements.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Maintain and clean equipment as requested by Registered Nurse. + Perform other transportation functions as required, including delivery of patient specimens, medical records, and patient care equipment. + Collaborate with members of the health care team to promote patient care delivery and overall unit functioning. + Prepare rooms for admissions and discharges by keeping them neat and uncluttered. + Organize and clean supply rooms and maintain established supply levels.
