Cleveland Clinic's H81 Internal Medicine unit has a wide variety of patients, giving nurses the opportunity to experience caring for many types of illnesses and patients. As a Unit Support Assistant, you will maintain a safe, clean, and functional care environment for patients and staff which includes environmental upkeep, transporting patients and supplies, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting clinical staff in a collaborative team-based setting. **A caregiver in this role works evenings from 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Maintain and clean equipment as requested by Registered Nurse. + Perform other transportation functions as required including but not limited to delivery of patient specimens, medical records and patient care equipment. + Collaborate with members of health care team to promote patient care and overall functioning of unit. + Prepare rooms for admissions and discharges. + Keep the patient areas neat and uncluttered. + Organize, clean supply rooms and maintain established supply levels.
