Overview
The Mother Infant Unit consists of 24 beds (between the 3rd and 5th floor of the Dorrance Building). This unit specializes in the care of the post-partum couplet. The care includes frequent assessments for post-partum complications of the mother and newborn including but not limited to preeclampsia, post-partum hemorrhage, and infant hypoglycemia. This unit specializes in offering emotional support to the new dyad while also providing extensive teaching and crucial education prior to discharge.
Experience Required
Previous hospital unit secretary, medical office assistant or medical records experience preferred.Additional unit-specific qualification may be required.Clerical, communication and customer service experience a plus.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.Unit Secretary certification is desirable.
Special Requirements
Part time days, 24 hours a week
Hours: 7a-7:30p with weekend/holidays rotation
