About the Department:\n\nOur Medical Surgical Unit is here to assist you with 24 beds and all private rooms. We provide care to pediatric and adult patients with medical and surgical conditions. Our highly skilled caregivers have certifications including ACLS, PALS, and Chemotherapy to serve patients with various ailments. Some of the special services provided include chemotherapy administration, physical therapy, nutrition counseling and hospice care. We can connect our patients with advanced resources based on their needs, such as ostomy care, weekend infusion services, and more. Discharge and social services are available to help our patients get back to being happy and healthy.\n\n

About the Career:\n\nThe Nurse Educator will coordinate and ensure all unit based and hospital wide education and competencies are completed. Participates in patient care coordinating the plan of care, providing direct age appropriate nursing interventions and patient education, and collaborating with ancillary, nursing and other patient team personnel. Directs the team of CNA's, LPN's and Ward Secretaries. Works under the supervision of the Nurse Director.\n\n

All About You:\n\nAt least 1 year experience as an RN in Medical Surgical Unit preferred\nCurrent Colorado or compact state RN license\nEducation experience is preferred\nEducation: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's, Associated, or Diploma in Nursing.\nBLS required upon hire. \nACLS and PALS or ENPC within 9-months.\n\n
