Full scale is $33.51/hour, as outlined in the Teamsters Local 313 collective bargaining agreement.Schedule: Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays as neededHours: Approximately 45 hours per weekKey ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a rear-load garbage truck along designated routesCollect refuse and recyclables according to route sheetsPerform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenanceOperate hydraulic controls to lift and dispose of wasteMaintain professional and courteous interactions with customersPerform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, pushing, and pulling items over 100 lbsWorking ConditionsOutdoor work in varying weather conditionsExposure to mechanical parts, moderate noise, and occasional fumesFrequent heavy lifting and adherence to strict safety protocolsMinimum RequirementsValid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement (Class A not required)Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in waste management, trucking, or heavy equipment operation, and must not have held more than three jobs in the past five years.Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredBasic knowledge of truck components for pre- and post-trip inspectionsSAFETY SENSITIVE: YESAbout Waste Connections
