Job description Cleans and organizes items stored in laundry room, supply/storage closets, linen room, and/or uniform room. Supports all co-workers and treats them with dignity and respect. Develops and maintains positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments. Actively listens to and considers the concerns of other employees, and responds appropriately and effectively. Monitors the working condition and cleanliness of laundry/dry cleaning machinery and equipment. Reports faulty equipment, maintenance needs, and safety hazards to manager/supervisor. Ensures uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures. Inspects linen and terry for damage and removes them from circulation as necessary. Separates soiled articles (e.g., linens, terry, and clothing) based on color, fabric, and cleaning technique requirements prior to washing or dry cleaning. Maintains accurate records of items washed, number of loads, and poundage of dry cleaning and laundry. Transports cart of washed articles to dryers and places them in dryers according to load size. Predicts that all activities and all purchased equipment and belongings may impact the environment; participates in activities organized to protect biological diversity and shares individual responsibilities to increase environmental knowledge and carry out necessary trainings. Implements necessary warnings and departmental trainings to save energy inside the facility; carries out decisions taken for saving energy and predicts effects of environment and energy efficiency on purchased equipment. Fulfills responsibilities to eliminate and collect waste properly, reducing environmental pollution and harmful effects. Ensures safe handling, storage, and use of chemicals in accordance with laws, controlling and reducing chemical contamination. Carries out all responsibilities related to the quality management systems implemented at the facilities. Performs all other duties assigned by managers and hotel management not specified in the job description. Qualifications Education: At least vocational diploma. Experience: At least 1 year of experience in the related field. Foreign language: Not expected. Courses and training: Prior attendance in courses and seminars in the related field. Computer literacy: Not expected. Skills: Adaptability/flexibility, stress tolerance. Additional information
