Underwriting Senior Analyst
The Senior Underwriting Analyst is responsible for reviews the insurance application, decides whether to accept the risk, and determines the premium rate under the condition of accepting the risk. **Position Responsibilities:** + Responsible for the underwriting within the scope of authority + Responsible for insurance business underwriting and risk data analysis + Be responsible for risk assessment and selection of the security and underwriting parts within the scope of authorization + Work under general guidelines, provide technical advice for the business personnel or customers about the underwriting issues + Be responsible for implementing the company's risk management policies and underwriting rules + Act as coach/mentor to less experienced team members, or coordinates tasks for team and check on work quality and progress + Make resource deployment recommendations to ensure work continuity and efficiency + Be flexible to follow HK calendar and take OT to maintain a smooth delivery + other work assigned by the superior **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree or above, major in medical/nursing or insurance is preferred + Basic English reading and writing skills, obtained CET-4 English certificate or above + 3+ years relevant working experience in insurance, LOMA 280&290 or other related certificates are preferred + Familiar with underwriting process and rules in life insurance business + Knowledgeable in basic Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel + Familiar with insurance theory knowledge and claims professional knowledge is preferred + Good understanding of how own and related teams coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve the objectives of underwriting area + Sound knowledge of medical science, technology and terminology and their impact on mortality. Sound knowledge of financial and other non-medical underwriting factors. Basic knowledge of product pricing **Preferred Qualifications:** + Commitment to handling private and confidential information with a high degree of professionalism + Good attendance + Under strong pressure can also seriously complete the delivery + Customer oriented, with a strong sense of service and team spirit + Strong sense of risk control and compliance + General knowledge of referral areas.
