Your Role

The primary purpose of this role is to cover all aspects of policy processing in the Branch and support the Production and Marketing Manager and Underwriters in the administrative and office co-ordination tasks.
This includes (but is not limited to) tasks such as, entering data into Underwriting Systems (ie Gen Next Portal & Duck Creek) required to track business, issuing policy documentation & standard correspondence, handling accounting queries and working with underwriters on reviewing renewal and new business submissions.


Your Responsibilities: 

Administrative support to the branch including managing mail/email correspondence, general clerical duties.Prepare pre-renewal underwriting review, collate underwriting information ensuring appropriate referral and follow up with the relevant account underwriter/s.Where applicable- build and grow relationships with potential producers (or refer to Branch Underwriters), within appropriate underwriting/risk guidelinesAssist both internal and external stakeholders with product and business queries Work with staff members in other departments to identify cross marketing opportunities Assist in general department matters when required, including the coordination of producer functionsLook for process improvement opportunities and make recommendation to management Any other projects as assigned by Team Leader/Manager Generation of reports as and when required.In addition to the above duties, this role will also provide some ad-hoc assistance to Product Managers & Relationship Manager  in SA. Comprehensive and demonstrable knowledge of Commercial Insurance ProductsComprehensive and demonstrable knowledge of Commercial Insurance Underwriting GuidelinesAustralian Insurance Institute qualifications or equivalent experience (or desire to achieve same).
