Kibali Gold Mine is seeking to recruit an Underground Mine Infrastructure Specialist to join and grow our team.

Responsibilities:

Oversee design, installation and maintenance of service water and dewatering systems.

Monitor water inflows, pumping capacity and drainage performance daily.

Identify bottlenecks, failures and inefficiencies in water networks.

Develop and implement improvement plans to optimise water delivery and removal.

Coordinate pump repairs, replacements and upgrades.

Manage sumps, water rings, pipelines, valves and pressure management.

Work with operations to ensure water availability at work areas.

Ensure dewatering supports development and stope schedules.

Respond to water-related breakdowns or flooding events.

Plan infrastructure to support future mine expansion.

Maintain accurate drawings, layouts and infrastructure registers.

Liaise with electrical, maintenance and planning teams.

Track water usage and report issues to management.

Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Qualification Requirements:

Degree in Mining / Mechanical / Civil Engineering, or a related technical field

Experience and Skills Requirements:

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a similar role

Strong understanding of underground mine water systems.

Experience with pumps, pipelines, valves, pressure and flow control.

Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Underground project experience.

Ability to plan and execute infrastructure projects.

Good coordination with operations and maintenance teams.

Proficient in reporting, documentation and basic CAD (advantageous).
