Kibali Gold Mine is seeking to recruit an Auto Electrician to join and grow our team.

Responsibilities:
Training and developing skills of national employees to reach a Trade Level 4 certification. Inspecting equipment for proper performance and determine faults and malfunctions.Adjusting equipment & repairing/replacing defective parts, components, or systems according to the scope of work.Testing repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance.Completing accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists as per the Kibali daily Maintenance task.Providing feedback to the Maintenance Foreman to enable improvements to the equipment or its operation.Providing assistance in compiling accurate data to process warranty claims and engineering machine improvements.Working as directed to minimize equipment down-time and maximize productivity.Ensuring that all activities comply with policies, guidelines, regulatory requirements and meet objectives as per the OEM and Barrick maintenance strategy.Ensuring inspections are carried out on all equipment before use.Ensuring all repaired equipment is in a safe operating state as per OEM specification before going back into service. Ensuring that all tools and equipment are serviced and safe.Taking responsibility for personal development and enhancement of skills.Ensuring proactive involvement within the area of responsibility and actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives.Ensuring any electrical by-pass that is required to move disabled mobile equipment, must be documented and repaired to OEM specification before going back into service. Other duties as assigned by the Manager underground.The role will require working underground.Work in compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 Standards.Qualification Requirements:
Relevant Auto Electrical Diploma or Trade CertificateExperience and Skills Requirements:
Experience in an underground environment5 years experiences with remote control systems5 years of experience as an Auto ElectricianAbility to read and understand drawings. Performing work associated with diagnostic, maintenance and repair of all types of heavy machinery and special equipment and components, for example: hydraulic systems including, hydraulic control valves (manual and electronic), hydraulic cylinders, pumps and motors, automatic and manual transmissions, brake systems, ignition and fuel systems, steering and powertrain systems, tires, electrical systems, batteries starters, generators and maintain other related components as required.Experience with fleet tracking software data input. Computer literate.Maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment (PLC Controls etc.).Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Sound understanding of underground mobile fleet equipment.
