Bosch Australia’s Vehicle Motion Control team is responsible for the development of hardware and software systems that improve vehicle safety and agility for our mostly automotive customers. Our customer base is global, having engineered projects and solutions for Europe, North America, China, Japan, Malaysia and Korea.
Job DescriptionRobert Bosch (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Undergraduate Student Vehicle Dynamic Engineer to join our Vehicle Motion Control Team on a full-time basis for 12-months commencing January 2026. This unique opportunity is located at the Australian Automotive Research Centre (AARC) site near Anglesea Victoria (not at our Clayton Headquarters).
You will gain valuable experience and knowledge as an integral part of our dynamic Anglesea team. Some of the tasks that you will undertake with us include:
Working on a variety of technologies for different vehicle types (ICE, HEV & EV) and supporting the development of Driver Assistance SystemsGetting to see, touch, feel, drive, and engineer the prototypes of future vehicle models years before public releaseSupporting instrumentation of development and verification vehiclesSupporting customers with calibration programs along with Vehicle Dynamics Calibration engineers on various activities relating to vehicle testing, including conducting performance driving tests on passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, or other speciality vehiclesSupporting embedded software and systems development for Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and other chassis control related functionsPerforming routine test vehicle maintenance, including parts replacement, break bleeding, tyre changing, wheel alignment & cleaning of vehiclesMaintaining and repairing calibration equipment (mechanical and electrical repairs)Organising and tracking test parts and equipment in the workshop, and maintain workshop order and cleanliness to a high industry standardSupporting Proving Ground (PG) supervisor with various PG operational activitiesYou will find opportunities to develop your expertise and broaden your tertiary studies. QualificationsTo be considered for our Student Program, you are required to meet the following criteria:
Be currently enrolled in and have completed a minimum of 2 year towards an Engineering Undergraduate Degree (Mechanical/Mechatronics/ Electrical)Demonstrate good mechanical knowledge and (hands on) skillsGood vehicle evaluation and driving skillsManual driver’s licenseSkills in Excel, Word, Project & PowerPointExcellent attention to detail, be able to prioritise multiple tasks, work well within a team.Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders, including senior team members, while also working effectively individuallyPreferred but not essential:
