This position is responsible for supporting the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process within the buying planning function. The purpose of the of the MRP process is to maintain raw material & consumable inventory at appropriate levels to meet both safety stock and manufacturing requirements. The role will also support warehousing and logistics ensuring adherence to inventory strategies for critical raw material & consumables to meet the needs of the business. **Key Responsibilities:** + Support the operation of the MRP process + Creation of BOM & non BOM purchase orders with accurate quantities & delivery timelines + Ensure inventory levels are maintained at appropriate safety stock levels to meet production requirements + Support the business with minimizing excess, obsolete and expired products + Support solvent ordering process to meet forecasted production requirements + Support the day-to-day activities: lead time, quotes, purchase order updates & queries, delivery timelines, documentation mismatch, returns, payment issues (GRIR) etc. + Engage in key scheduling and planning huddles & meetings to provide updates on delivery schedules & requirements to meet production + Maintain accurate SAP data for the Buying Planning function: safety stock levels, PIR, lead times, incoterms etc. + Support quality & technical function with vendor complaints & Supplier Change Notifications + Proactively engage cross functionally to resolve supply constraints + Proactively engage in scenario planning and produce concise report on risk for own products + Buying Planning representative on NPI cross functional team + Proactively review forecasted inventory projections to identify risk + Support process improvements within the Supply Chain team to align with the strategic direction of the business + Preparation of Supply chain reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc basis + Support preparation of Supply Chain metrics **Requirements** : Currently enrolled in 3rd level education and ready to pursue student placement as part of an undergraduate program.
