We offer Undergraduate placement opportunities across multiple functions within the business, to give university students real life experience of their chosen course. **LEAP @ Lilly** is our Undergraduate Development Programme to support you along the way. This position is responsible for supporting the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process within the buying planning function. The purpose of the of the MRP process is to maintain raw material & consumable inventory at appropriate levels to meet both safety stock and manufacturing requirements. The role will also support warehousing and logistics ensuring adherence to inventory strategies for critical raw material & consumables to meet the needs of the business. **Key Responsibilities:** + Support the operation of the MRP process + Creation of BOM & non BOM purchase orders with accurate quantities & delivery timelines + Ensure inventory levels are maintained at appropriate safety stock levels to meet production requirements + Support the business with minimizing excess, obsolete and expired products + Support solvent ordering process to meet forecasted production requirements + Support the day-to-day activities: lead time, quotes, purchase order updates & queries, delivery timelines, documentation mismatch, returns, payment issues (GRIR) etc. + Engage in key scheduling and planning huddles & meetings to provide updates on delivery schedules & requirements to meet production + Maintain accurate SAP data for the Buying Planning function: safety stock levels, PIR, lead times, incoterms etc. + Support quality & technical function with vendor complaints & Supplier Change Notifications + Proactively engage cross functionally to resolve supply constraints + Proactively engage in scenario planning and produce concise report on risk for own products + Buying Planning representative on NPI cross functional team + Proactively review forecasted inventory projections to identify risk + Support process improvements within the Supply Chain team to align with the strategic direction of the business + Preparation of Supply chain reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc basis + Support preparation of Supply Chain metrics **Requirements** : Currently enrolled in 3rd level education and ready to pursue student placement as part of an undergraduate program.
