The UMH Teacher (U) prepares lesson plans and instructs students in a classroom setting. Moreover, the incumbent evaluates and monitors students’ performance. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS: + Provides a syllabus of course material before the start of the course. + Takes daily attendance, and conducts follow up with absences to foster retention. + Provides classroom instruction per hours agreed upon per schedule. + Administers quizzes and tests the students on course materials. + Provides weekly homework on course materials to evaluate course knowledge. + Evaluates each student’s performance using a written evaluation for a final grade + Works directly with teacher assistants on coursework and homework assignments. + Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
