Ultrasound Services Coordinator - NHMG Clinical Resource Services

The Ultrasound Services Coordinator will act as a liaison between the Radiologists, Providers, Sonographers/Technologists, Clinic Administrators, Regional Managers, Strategic Sourcing and vendors, and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements within the Novant Health Medical Group practices performing on-site ultrasound and/or echocardiogram services. He/she will work with service engineers and outside vendors to ensure equipment is maintained according to manufacturer guidelines, develops and oversees all quality assurance initiatives per registry standards, supports training of providers and ultrasound technologists on Epic/Radiant/PACs workflows and other imaging software, network connectivity, develops training and competency documents, and acts as project manager for set up of ultrasound services in new and affiliating clinics to include review of imaging needs, selection of appropriate ultrasound equipment to include high level disinfection/reprocessing equipment needed per manufacturer guidelines and Novant Health policies. Qualifications Education: Bachelors in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiology, Business or Healthcare Administration, required. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a hospital/physician practice ultrasound/imaging department, required. Previous experience in quality assessment and/or project management; experience with Epic and McKesson PACs, preferred. Licensure/Certification: RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, required. RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist, required. Additional Skills (required):Through knowledge of ultrasound equipment, including equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, appropriate software and ultrasonic accessories, QA test equipment and procedures, safety, and infection control. Strong organizational and analytical skills and project management experience, good oral and written communication including the giving and receiving of feedback, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management abilities. Strong leadership skills. Ability to evaluate images and assist in improving image quality, knowledge, and skills to interpret information and guide sonographer on modifying care according to patient(s) specific needs. Ability to develop, plan, analyze, organize and manage ultrasound/imaging programs.
