Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced and motivated UKI Assistant Controller to join our Finance team (Controlling & Accounting). This key role is responsible for overseeing the financial control environment, accounting, and internal control activities for the Iron Mountain United Kingdom & Ireland (UKI) entities. You will ensure accurate monthly accounting in local systems and manage group reporting, leveraging your business knowledge to anticipate and resolve potential problems efficiently.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)In this role, you will:
Lead the management of the Cluster’s Controlling and Accounting teams, ensuring the month-end closing and all relevant reporting (monthly, quarterly, & annual) are completed accurately and within US reporting deadlines.Account for compliance with IRM group accounting policies, US GAAP, and SOX; this includes performing and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations and ensuring the design and implementation of effective internal controls.Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including supporting finance systems optimization and the effective operation of accounting in the country, managing resolution of identified issues, and supporting transitions to outsourced service providers.Oversee critical financial processes, including supporting the production of the monthly UKI Cluster’s flux analyses, monitoring revenue recognition risk, and providing support for M&A activities and due diligence projects.Manage all relations with outsourced service providers (TCS), Audit & Tax Consultants, and local accounting companies, while advising on accounting and tax issues and supporting the preparation of the Statutory Financial Statements.What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
The ideal candidate will have:
