As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for working closely with UK Commercial Finance, EMEA & US teams to deliver successful outcomes and maintain strong financial controls across strategic initiatives, system implementations, and process automation projects. This role combines project accounting with some month-end and reporting responsibilities. We’ll look to you to bring your leadership experience in accounting at a large, multi-site operational, ideally in retail or hospitality. You’ll be ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified with post qualification experience leading a team. You’ll have knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS with strong understanding of management accounting and financial controls. Ideally, you’ll have strong system skills with previous experience working with large ERP accounting and reporting systems such as Oracle and Anaplan XL. We’d love to hear more about your experience in process and system optimisation projects as well as your ability to bring a positive and solution-focused attitude with the ability to adapt and respond to the needs of the business. Working as our project accountant, you’ll get involved in: + Acting as a key leader within the UK accounting team, leading on project-related accounting and reporting activities. + Delivering key reporting, providing insightful analysis and recommendations, while maintaining strong reporting controls + Developing and supporting the team of accountants, ensuring that all tasks and processes are completed and deadlines met + Developing and maintaining accounting systems and processes to produce timely management accounts in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.
