Concept and design product user interface solutions for surgical robots that enhance safety, usability, and alignment with surgical staff expectations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human Factors, HCI, or related field
Experience defining and implementing digital user interfaces for complex systems
Proficiency with Figma for design, wireframes, prototypes, and digital mockups
Ability to create final design documentation and support software engineering handoff
Familiarity with design thinking, user research, heuristic principles, and accessibility standards
Preferred Skills:
Experience in medical device or highly regulated industry
Familiarity with human factors/usability engineering standards (IEC 62366-1, ANSI HE75)
Knowledge of quality regulations and risk management practices (21 CFR Part 820.30, ISO 14971)
Proficiency with Miro, Principal, PowerPoint, Jama, and Jira
Ability to collaborate within agile teams across engineering, research, and product management
Responsibilities:
Define digital user interfaces and apply design system standards across surgical device portfolio
Participate in user research to identify needs and translate findings into design solutions
Partner with product management, engineering, and R&D on product features and functionality
Use systems thinking and user-centered design to develop new product concepts and workflows
Conceptualize and visualize product designs and physical interactions through prototypes and mockups
Create and refine wireframes, style guides, user flows, and prototypes in Figma and Miro
Document and communicate design requirements for cross-functional handoff and regulatory compliance
Lead workshops and presentations to socialize design vision and usability improvements
Pay Details: $70.00 to $85.00 per hour
