BACKGROUND:
Unilever International (UI) is an alternative but complimentary route to market business, servicing white space opportunities not exploited by local operating countries. It is a global opco offering a diverse range of products sourced from over 80+ SUs/3PMs and utilizing 1000+ 3rd party distributors and consolidators to reach consumers in over 150 markets. The business is headquartered in Singapore and has employees operating largely from 7 key hubs (Singapore, US, UK, Korea, India, Dubai and France). The UI global sales of €1.2 billion in 2022 are invoiced from 35+ Unilever legal entity. Beauty and Wellbeing (BWB) & Nutrition business groups is 50% of total UI business.
UI Finance’s vision is to be a Future-Fit Customer-centric Finance function that is at the heart of decision making and playing a co-pilot role in unlocking and preserving value for UI. Business Group Finance Team is a key enabler to this vision. The role has the responsibility for driving performance management for BWB and Nutrition business groups. Portfolio transformation and brand building activities are key enablers to unleash growth potential and profitability improvement. The role of global brand and innovation finance lead is to shape future fit portfolio via innovation work with BG team to drive brand health performance and ensure our investment efficient and sufficient for strategic choices. This role offers the exciting opportunity to lead strategy development and global resources allocation work, partner from global perspective but operationalize with top markets/BU. It is a great choice for senior finance talent to strengthen business acumen and stakeholder management skills.
Main Accountabilities:
Strategy and performance
Set long term strategic priorities with BG Lead
Lead annual planning cycle on big bets investments across Marketing
Drive in-year performance for short term and mid-term interventions
Transparent and rigorous performance indicators to drive high quality performance
Innovation and portfolio
This role leads the global brand innovation and portfolio work, together with the BG team
Set the portfolio target and innovation hurdle rates, track against with success criterias
Analyze innovation funnels on sufficiency and quality
Link innovation funnels with global funding choices
Monthly and quarterly Marketing and Innovation LT to reflect latest choices
Strategic Pricing and GM Deliverables
Partner with BG team on setting strategic price and floor pricing for all portfolios
Set GM targets and drive GM improvement plans delivery
Skills Profile:
Performance Management / FP&A experience in a FMCG industry (Preferred)
Excellent communication skills with ability to present to Senior Stakeholders
Experience with SAP, Hyperion Tools, Power BI
Excellent engagement, presentation, and communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrated competency at growing & developing people/teams
Working knowledge of S&OP and/or Annual Plan processes

UILT, CLF, BG Cross Functional teams.
Central Finance Teams
Cross functional teams in CD, CD Ops, SC, Marketing in UI Hubs
GCAD and Finance Controller Teams of key UI Invoicing hubs.
Global Finance, Risk and Audit teams
UniOps and Outsource service providers- UI Capgemini
HR, tax and legal teams
