**Description**

**Primary Function:**
Lubricate, service, and replenish coolant for a variety of equipment and machinery according to detailed schedules and specifications. Maintain water-soluble machine tool coolants for all production machinery. Manage, maintain, and change out, when necessary, the coolant recycle equipment, including sump suckers and tramp oil removal systems. Monitor coolant usage in all machine tools. Collect coolant samples for lab analysis. Steam clean machines as needed based on coolant sampling and usage. Clean oil, water, and coolant sumps.
**Tools and Equipment:**
Grease guns and accessories, oil cans, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, pails, hand carts, step ladders,
power driven oil and suction pumps, coolant recycling equipment and recovery unit, electric/propane
vehicle with pumps and recovery unit, manlift, steam cleaner’s gauges, refractometers, PH meters, oil
skimmers and filters.
**Material:**
Oils, greases, coolants, solvents, cleaning agents, rags, steel wool, etc.

**Work Procedure and/or Responsibility Assigned:**
1. Receive work assignment from
supervision.
2. Read and follow safety regulations and work procedures including machinery and
equipment drawings, sketches, schedules, charts, and manufacturer specifications.
3. Oil and grease machinery and replenish oil in reservoirs, grease in cups, coolant, etc.,
according to preventive maintenance schedules or as required. Operate coolant recovery
and storage vehicle, recycle dirty coolant through coolant recycling system according to
established procedures.
4. Change, repair, or replace broken skimmers, lost fittings, cups, strainers, oil filter elements
and oil lines as
needed.
5. Remove packing lubricants from new equipment and replenish with operating lubricants.
6. Select the proper oils and greases and mix coolants and cutting oils as instructed or
according to manufacturer's charts and specifications.
7. Clean lubricating areas on equipment before and after servicing.
8. Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition. Check bearings
and shafts for wear and overheating and report all unsafe conditions to supervision.
9. Maintain preventive maintenance, oil, lubricant and coolant analysis programs, records,
documentation, and charts for equipment.
10. Follow established procedures for cleaning of machine tools.
11. Make proper time charge entries, record data as required, and maintain LX certifications as
required.
12. Conduct inventory ensuring materials are at the correct limits while informing management
of materials needing replenishment.
Perform Work of equal or lower skills level as required

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent GED.
+ Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial machinery and equipment maintenance or related mechanical work performing preventive maintenance, lubrication, service and replenishing coolant according to maintenance schedules, work orders, and equipment manuals.
+ Minimum 1 year of experience safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
+ Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 25lbs regularly.
+ Minimum 1 year of experience utilizing safety protocols such as LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), PPE (Personal Protective Equipment e.g. face shields, gloves), & PAPR (Positive Air Purifier Respirator).
+ Minimum 1 year of experience documenting, reporting, and ordering material inventory.
+ US Citizenship Required.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial machinery lubrication or preventive maintenance in a manufacturing, processing, or heavy equipment environment.
+ Certification in machinery lubrication (e.g., ICML Machine Lubricant Analyst or Machinery Lubrication Technician).
+ Minimum 3 years of experience implementing relevant audit requirements as well as internal and external quality standards and implementation of countermeasures in case of deviations and improvement potentials.
