PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Provide a limited range of photographic/video (digital content) services to support Marine Systems, Sunnyvale Perform assignments as directed by management that support the PR/Comms and captures content necessary for the site to build articles, presentations, and other communications for senior leaders and customers. Work scope may include still cameras, video, audio, and associated processing software. 

WORKING PROCEDURE:

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE USUAL MAJOR JOB DUTIES, BUT THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT PRECLUDE THE PERFORMANCE OF OTHER DUTIES BY THE INCUMBENT, NOR THE QUESTION BEING RAISED ON THE PROPER RATE FOR THE ASSIGNMENT.

Receive and analyze customer photographic/video requirements. Advise customer of capabilities and cost of specific projects.

Schedule with customer for photographic/video assignments, working with supervision.

Transport, set up, and operate various kinds of equipment, including cameras, audio, and lighting, as needed.

Produce digital content of  key events, including service awards, retirements, plant tours, presentations, major hardware shipping achievements, etc.  

Assist with operation of hardware and software in the Creative Services studio.

 Document and upload content to a shared folder, ensure security measures are taken to protect content and communicate to the customer about availability of content for review and selection. Perform other work as required and assigned, such as acting as backup for Mail function.

DIRECTION RECEIVED:

Receives specific work assignments related to still and video photography (digital content) from supervision.  Receives detailed instructions from higher coded photographer (if staffed).

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

AA Degree in Industrial or Commercial Photography or AA degree which includes 15 credits in digital photography.  or 4 years’ experience in Industrial or Commercial photography in lieu of degree.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

At least two years of related experience in an industrial environment, including both use of still and video equipment and software.

This is a union position.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

AA Degree in Industrial or Commercial Photography or AA degree which includes 15 credits in digital photography or 4 years’ experience in Industrial or Commercial photography in lieu of degree.Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Minimum 2 years’ experience using both still and video equipment and software.US Citizenship is required.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience with an Aerospace & Defense (A&D) contractor in a manufacturing environment.Prior experience with US Naval platforms and equipment.
