Role Overview:
Focused on business development, with a strong emphasis on client acquisition and onboarding. This role involves leading with advice, being a subject matter expert, and coaching others. The Development Banker is responsible for identifying and capturing opportunities, taking prospects to committed clients, and implementing products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Partnership and Collaboration: Work closely with markets to identify and capture new client opportunities. Shares solutions and presents to market leadership. Client Development: Primary focus of efforts on platform and product implementation, presenting wealth plans with solutions. Origination and Onboarding: Lead the process of converting prospects into clients who are committed to working with JPMorgan at core market levels. Coaching: Mentor other bankers in communication, change in direction, and client development strategies. Metrics: Responsible for net new clients, Deposit/Investment flows, and the transfer of clients committed to growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong business development acumen and ability to convert prospects into clients. Track record of leading meetings with sophisticated clients and market leadership. Expertise in presenting solutions and implementing a deep breadth of PB products. Ability to lead and coach junior bankers/peers effectively. Proven track record in client acquisition and onboarding. Expertise and alignment to NCT growth verticals: Fund adjacent (PLP and principals of PE/HF’s) PB Employee client coverage Workplace solutions and 10b5-1 plans Experience and in-depth knowledge of the equity and fixed income markets, alternative investments, including Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Real Estate, wealth planning and credit. Ability to work in fast paced environment and adapt to change. Six plus years of work experience in Private Banking or Financial Services. Bachelor’s Degree required. Series 7, 66 (or 63/65) and Insurance licenses required for position; unlicensed candidates considered, but required to obtain licenses within 90 days of start date.
