Turret Slitter Operator: 2nd Shift Opportunity in Miamisburg, OH

Join our team in Miamisburg, Ohio, where we produce custom and stock labels, tickets, and tags for major organizations in logistics, food, and retail. We're looking for a dedicated Turret Slitter Operator to work our 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM), Sunday through Thursday.

Your Role as a Turret Slitter Operator

As a Turret Slitter Operator, you'll specialize in operating a variety of slitting, tubing, and turret machines. You'll work with a team to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot turret slitter machines, making necessary adjustments to ensure a quality production run.Quality Control: Review customer order specifications and perform complex set-ups and changeovers, ensuring all materials are ready and a quality product is produced.Team Collaboration: Work closely with teammates, group leaders, and other departments like Quality and Warehouse to achieve production goals.Continuous Improvement: Offer input on current processes and identify opportunities for improvement. You'll also assist in training and supporting other team members.

Qualifications

What You Need to Have to be Considered for the Role...

A High School Diploma or GEDProficiency in performing basic math calculations, including decimals and percentagesGood vision, including colorEye-hand coordination and dexterityMechanical aptitudeProficiency in the use of overlay gauges, reading shop scales, and other measurement toolsThe ability to learn and use computer programs, with a high level of accuracy, for reporting productionThe ability to follow verbal and written instructionsThe ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and lift up to 30lbs over headThe ability to continuously stand, stoop, bend, push, and pullThe ability to learn and/or demonstrate the use and application of ELS principles and techniques within 30 days after completing formal job trainingAvailability to work overtime (there is mandatory and voluntary overtime)
