Turret Operator
**Job Title: Turret Operator** **Job Description** The Turret Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC punching machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. This role involves preparing and loading sheet stock, selecting and installing tooling, programming CNC instructions, and ensuring quality standards are met. The operator will also perform routine maintenance and inspections, and maintain a clean and organized work area. **Responsibilities** + Prepare and load sheet stock into PX/Strippit CNC punching machine. + Select and install appropriate tooling and dies based on job requirements. + Program or verify CNC instructions for part profiles. + Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet dimensional and quality standards. + Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges. + Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain tolerances. + Conduct routine machine maintenance and report issues promptly. + Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of sheet metal and tooling. + Maintain a clean and organized work area. + Record production data, material usage, and downtime in the manufacturing system. + Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production status and issues. **Essential Skills** + 1–3 years of experience operating CNC punching machines (PX/Strippit or similar). + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. + Proficient in measuring tools and quality inspection techniques. + Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with turret operation, troubleshooting, calipers, micrometer, punch press, press brake, and sheet metal. **Why Work Here?** This family-owned company offers room for advancement into roles such as leads or trainers, and even into the setup team. The environment inside the building is louder due to the stamping machines. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
