Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Underground Surveyor for our Turquoise Ridge operations. The successful candidate will Provide a high-level of accurate surveying and sampling to the Mining Group as part of the open pit mining operation.

Responsibilities:

 

The Underground Surveyor is responsible for the following:

Responsible for taking accurate measurements of underground and surface workings and maintaining accurate and secure recordsAssist engineering team with critical functions including stope design and production planningUsing engineering designs to guide mining activities. (Line and Grade)Utilize equipment, such as a total station and scanners to generate accurate surveysPerform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Knowledge of basic survey methods preferredDegree in Mining Engineering or applicable experience preferredKnowledge of underground mining methods and design preferredPrior experience in Narrow Vein Long hole Stoping preferredDemonstrate computer skills with 3D drafting programs preferredStrong math and computer skills requiredStrong verbal and written communication preferredValid driver’s license requiredCommitment to developing and maintaining a safe work culture requiredAble to drive assigned company vehicles on surface and underground requiredAble to walk significant grades, uneven ground, and meet physical requirements of position requiredAbility to work with minimal supervision requiredAbility to work safely in underground mining environment required
