About this opportunity:
The Turnaround Scheduling Lead at Cenovus Energy plays a vital role at our Toledo Refinery. This position oversees all scheduling tasks, from development to reporting and benchmarking. You will work closely with Projects and/or Turnaround (TAR) Planning and Contractor Scheduling Resources to guarantee smooth operations. What you’ll do:
Develop, maintain, and optimize integrated project and TAR schedules using Primavera, ensuring alignment with CVE standards and critical path methodology.Act as the primary scheduling contact for assigned projects, leading planning sessions and coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction, and cost teams.Monitor schedule performance, track key milestones, and ensure alignment with project objectives and KPIs.Generate accurate schedule reports and earned value analyses using CVE systems and contractor data to support decision-making.Review contractor schedules for accuracy and validate field progress through quantity tracking and performance analysis.Manage schedule-related risks, changes, and uncertainties, providing strategic options and recommendations to the project team.Maintain scheduling policies, tools, templates, and ensure compliance with internal guidelines and stage-gated processes.Drive continuous improvement initiatives, support project closeout activities, and lead lessons learned efforts.Who you are:
Legally authorized to work in the USHigh School diploma or equivalent8+ years of relevant work experience with demonstrated expertise in project control systems, particularly scheduling and planning.Proven capability to support multiple projects of various sizes and complexity.Strong organization, teamwork, and communication skills.Proficiency in database applications such as Microsoft Access, Maximo, TRACK, and Microsoft Excel.Demonstrated usage of Primavera (P6) and understanding of Earned Value Method (EVM) and Cost Forecasting Methods.We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
