One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Turnaround Mechanical Planner/Scheduler for a 12-month assignment in their facilities in Baytown, Texas.

Summary:
The Baytown Turnaround Mechanical department is seeking contractor resources that are experienced and skilled within the Turnaround Scheduling and Planning for the Petrochem Industry.

Responsibilities: Develop detailed turnaround schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools, ensuring all mechanical activities are accurately sequenced and aligned with overall turnaround milestones. Create comprehensive job plans including scope definition, resource requirements, materials lists, and estimated durations for mechanical work within the petrochemical turnaround. Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractors to validate work scope, identify constraints, and integrate all tasks into the master turnaround schedule. Monitor schedule progress and provide daily/weekly updates during the turnaround, highlighting delays, critical-path impacts, and recommending mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with site safety, quality, and mechanical standards by incorporating required procedures, permitting timelines, and risk considerations into all plans and schedules. Requirements: Prefer Petrochemical Industry Turnaround experience Field experience of 10+ Years Primavera / P6 scheduling experience of 5+ years Able to perform field walks, scope out work items, develop step out activities for master schedule, estimating of direct work Experience with PBI, SAP, Microsoft Office tools People skills, Gets along with others #LI-AG3
