TS/SCI Ground System Director

Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a cleared Deputy Ground System Director role to support a large government project in Grand Forks, ND. The role involves overseeing the monitoring, control, and coordination of mission activities within a 24/7 multi‑satellite operations environment. Working 12‑hour shifts, this position plays a key part in managing real‑time ground system performance, addressing unexpected events, coordinating issue recovery across systems and remote antenna sites, and ensuring proper documentation of anomalies. In this role, you’ll guide daily mission operations, supervise up to twenty mission partner and customer personnel, and act as a backup to the Ground System Director, including taking charge when needed. Responsibilities include communicating with operators and engineers to compile standardized reports, supporting process improvements, and maintaining multiple operational certifications to ensure mission continuity. You’ll also interface with government customers to explain issues and mission impacts, helping ensure smooth and reliable ground system operations.
Compensation:
$40-45/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements
• Proficiency in the LINUX operating system, as well as standard PC usage and applications
• Familiarity with software development and programming skills • TS/SCI clearance
• 5+ years of related engineering experience
• Experience in leading a team in a real-time operations environment
• Capable of being a strong motivator and source of direction for your team and role modelling commitment to your team’s goals
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently present information and ideas to others
• Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions or come up with solutions
• Have the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects for yourself and your team while making sure to meet deadlines
