Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, repair, and maintain fleet systems, including:Brakes, suspensions, steering, and drivelineEngine performance and tune-upsTransmissions and clutchesElectrical and auxiliary systemsPerform and lead Preventative Maintenance inspections (PMs), safety inspections, and annual certificationsRemove, repair, and reinstall major mechanical components with minimal supervisionComplete work orders accurately, including parts, labor, and documentationIdentify and report unsafe conditions, defects, or repairs neededConduct road calls and provide on-site emergency service as requiredEnsure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and provincial regulationsSafely move vehicles within the yard and shopSupport and mentor apprentice mechanicsParticipate in ASE certification (training and bonuses provided)

QualificationsTruck & Transport Red Seal Certificate (or equivalent provincial license)Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (higher classes considered an asset)Adequate personal tool set for heavy vehicle maintenanceStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and within a team environmentComfortable using electronic repair manuals, diagnostic software, and work-order systemsWillingness to work assigned shifts and occasional on-call rotation
