This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.
The Carrier Operator II will help coordinate inbound and outbound logistical operations, including inventory management, warehousing and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products. In this role, you will execute tasks and resolve more complex issues for standard modes of transport during shipments within a single country.
Key AccountabilitiesIndependently collect and organize fleet related information from internal and external clients and customers and conduct computer data entry to track and document movement.Organize an effective system that meets the organization's inventory control needs through efficient transportation of raw materials.Monitor activities from receiving, locating and dispatching, sourcing, purchasing and optimizing inventory levels.Help plan and direct our fleet activities.Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.Other duties as assignedQualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of two years of related work experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience working in the agriculture or grain industryExperience working with grain flows and capturing market opportunitiesKnowledge of supply and demand for truck freight and what impact the S&D for freightWorking knowledge and understanding of DOT regulationsEqual Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet.
