We’re looking for a Tree Climber. Can you picture yourself here? Preferred Candidate has MDARD Pesticide Licenses and experience for Tree Care via Pesticides, a Chauffeur's license is Required, Preferred Candidate is a certified Arborist or has tree specific license/certifications and has no less than 2 seasons previous Tree Climber experience. STARTING RATE OR MINIMUM RATE OF PAY IS $20 PER HOUR AND COULD INCREASE FROM THERE DEPENDENT UPON PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE AND ANY CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES YOU HOLD. Here’s what you’d do:Tree Climbers are responsible for working in trees to perform general tree care including pruning, cabling, bracing, lightning protection and tree removals. You’d be responsible for:Using proper pruning techniques; assisting in process of trimming trees, clearing and chipping tree debris, and disposing of tree debrisEnsuring that the work area beneath and around the trees is clear and properly marked so that the public will be safe from falling debrisMaintaining climbing gear and tree care equipment to be sure that all equipment and tools are safe and in working order for high quality and safe serviceEnsuring that all crew members follow Company safety policies and proceduresMust be willing to work mandated overtime during holidays, after hours, weekends as needed when responding to emergencies You might be a good fit if you have:Previous climbing experience ( 2 seasons minimum required)Tree Care Equipment experience required (ariel lifts, chipper, loader, stump grinder, chainsaw, etc.)Chauffeur's license (required); CDL A preferredAbility to become certified in EHAP, First-Aid and CPR ISA Certified Arborist (preferred); TRAQ preferredMDARD Tree Care pesticide Licenses (preferred) And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:Ability to successfully follow directions and complete requestsStrong work ethicGood communication skillsBilingual (Spanish) Here’s what to know about working here:Here at BrightView, we’re as passionate about caring for our clients as we are about caring for each other.
