About the Role
Assist the Treasury & Insurance Coordinator in performance of the Treasury Accounting function of the Company, in compliance with applicable laws, Group Guidelines, Internal Procedures, and as instructed by the Finance Control & Planning Manager.
Position: Treasury & Insurance Assistant
Location: Perth
Indicative Term of Contract: 12 months
Working Arrangement: Monday-Friday
Qualifications & Experience:
Administrative experience within a Finance/Commercial/Treasury Department
Minimum 2 years administrative experience in Treasury and/or Finance
Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Payment processing to suppliers, contractors, tax authorities, and JV operators
Monitoring & reporting of cash balances;
Provide assistance to the Accounts Payable function as required;
General administrative duties including archiving, preparation of reports for the Tax function, and other ad hoc requirements;
Assisting on special projects as and when required;
Support in performing SoX controls relating to Accounting, including providing assistance to the Audit and Compliance function
Treasury
Ensure payments to suppliers, contractors, tax authorities, and JV operators are made accurately and on a timely basis in compliance with Internal Procedures and Group Guidelines;
Assist with planning of the cash flow to ensure timely availability of funds necessary to execute payments within contractual deadlines, optimising use of incoming and available funds;
Provide assistance for monthly reporting requirements of cash balances and forecasts;
Perform all SAP functions relating to Treasury
Prepare provisional bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
Support audit processes including preparing supporting documentation and answering audit queries;
Provide ad hoc assistance on insurance matters, including liaison with insurance brokers as required
Accounts Payable
Assist with invoice registering and electronic storage of invoices
Prepare journals to reclass intercompany costs where required (e.g. travel)
General
Responsible for archiving requirements of the Finance, Control & Planning Department, including retrieval and coordination
Provide SAP reports as required to assist the Tax function
Liaison with HR and IT Department for setup of new users
Provide ad hoc assistance to the Finance, Control & Planning Department where required
