As Finance Assistant Accountant – Treasury, you will support the day-to-day operations of the Asda Treasury finance function. This includes helping to ensure effective cash management, maintain internal controls and accurate financial records. You will have responsibility for:

Assisting with daily cash positioning, monitoring balances across a multitude of bank accounts.Process and reconcile bank transactions, including payments, receipts, and intercompany transfers. Investigating discrepancies.Business partnering with multiple teams across finance.Submission of journals and balance sheets reconciliations on a monthly basis.Support compliance with treasury policies and internal controls.Assist with audit requests and provide treasury-related documentation.“Let's find out about you”

We are looking for a candidate with prior experience in a finance, treasury, or accounting role (retail experience is a plus but not a requirement)

You should also have the following:

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Great analytical skills, problem solving and an eye for detail.Comfortable working with large volumes of financial data.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Prior experience in balance sheet reconciliations desirable.Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience in use of SAP is desirable but not required.
