Job Description
Day to day:
Insight Global is looking for a travelling data center Assistant Project Manager. The APM will work with the extended site team and the PM to develop the program schedule and establish key milestones for delivery of the program ensuring all financial targets and schedule targets are met in alignment to the customers goals. The APM will assist the PM to identify and acquire all resources required revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and resource plans with the Project Manager.
- Oversee daily site operations and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and procurement of materials and equipment.
- Support design coordination, value engineering, and cost estimating during pre-construction.
- Act as the primary liaison with clients, maintaining strong communication and satisfaction.
- Manage project documentation, reporting, invoicing, and financial tracking.
- Train and supervise project team members; address HR issues per company policy.
- Maintain active on-site presence to monitor progress and resolve issues.

Skills and Requirements
Must haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business management, electrical engineering, construction management or similar experience.
- 1-3 + years of direct work experience in any of these areas: construction management, data centers, or structured cabling environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experience building and leading teams.
Experience in assessing, coaching, and mentoring direct reports and vendor teams. Plusses:
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- BICSI RCDD or Similar Telecommunication certifications preferred
ISP or OSP experience preferred null
