Traveling Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in providing nursing services, training, and medical support to individuals with developmental disabilities, acquired brain injuries, substance use challenges, and/or emotional or behavioral needs. This unique travel-based position combines direct care with training and consultation, ensuring that every individual receives safe, quality care at home and in the community. Take a look at the impact you can make by joining the NeuroRestorative team: https://sevitahealth.com/our-impact/ To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below: + Conduct medical assessments for new referrals and collaborate with Intake staff to determine appropriate community placement. + Develop, review, and implement individualized service and nursing care plans in partnership with physicians. + Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records, including medication administration and physician’s orders. + Communicate with primary care physicians and specialists; attend medical appointments when needed. + Promote health and wellness through prevention-focused nursing practices. + Administer medications per established guidelines and ensure compliance with documentation. + Oversee the management of high-risk medical conditions and private duty nursing services. + Create individualized training plans and provide medical skills training to clients, caregivers, mentors, staff, and families. + Lead medical skills components during Pre-Service Orientation. + Serve as a team member for Individual Health Plans (IHP) or Plans of Care (POC), ensuring goals are medically appropriate and protocols are established. + Provide consultation and technical assistance on home care needs, durable medical equipment, and safe care practices. + Assist with household activities (light housekeeping, meal prep) and transport individuals to appointments/activities as needed. + Participate in on-call rotations, interdisciplinary team meetings, and health/safety committees. + Perform other related duties as required.
