Job Description

Supervise and coordinate coating crews on-site, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project specifications. Perform and oversee surface preparation including blasting, grinding, and cleaning. Apply industrial coatings including epoxy, urethane, and other specialty systems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Maintain equipment and materials, ensuring readiness and proper usage. Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members. Document work progress, quality checks, and incident reports. Train and mentor crew members in coating techniques and safety practices.

Essential Skills

Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial coating, blasting, painting, or floor coating.Leadership experience in a foreman or supervisory role.Strong knowledge of coating systems, surface preparation standards, and application techniques.Ability to work long hours including weekends and overtime.Willingness to travel extensively, working a Friday–Monday schedule.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with spray guns, epoxy, polyurethane, and other coatings.Must be willing to relocate to South Central Minnesota at end of projects.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily indoors, with 95% of the work involving shutdown operations. The role involves working with facilities on a shutdown basis, requiring flexibility in scheduling from Friday to Monday. Hotel accommodations are covered, and a daily per diem is provided. The position requires extensive travel, and the candidate must be willing to relocate to South Central Minnesota.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waseca, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
