Traveling - Fire, Life & Safety Assessor
Job Description Bureau Veritas Group is conducting a comprehensive audit of Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems within their clients distribution centers. The primary goal is to ensure compliance and proper functionality of all fire and life safety components. On a typical day, Fire Life & Safety Systems Assessors travel to client distribution centers and perform visual inspections of fire and life safety systems using a curated checklist on an iPad. They examine components such as fire extinguishers, sprinklers, alarms, and other FLS-related equipment to ensure compliance with NFPA and NEC standards. When discrepancies or non-compliance issues are identified, they document the findings and raise concerns internally, with minimal report writing required. The role is highly field-focused, emphasizing hands-on assessments rather than administrative tasks. Assessors also manage travel logistics and expense submissions while maintaining clear communication with site personnel as needed.
