Department/Position Overview:
The 3 West Ortho/Trauma unit at Sentara Virginia Beach General specializes in providing expert care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries and related complications. Our unit is comprised of 24 in-patient beds. Our patient population includes admissions from the OrthoJoint, Spine, Fracture, and Ortho/Trauma centers, as well as medical/surgical patients. The nursing unit enjoys a supportive team environment including resources such as a unit-based nurse educator, orthopedic navigator, respiratory therapy, PT/OT, nursing care partners, unit coordinators, charge nurse and manager. The unit has an active Unit-Based Partnership Council and participates in many hospital-wide Nurse led Councils.
As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career. There are many different specialties where you can perform and grow your nursing skills in areas of interest to you. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$51.02 - $85.03. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
