Field Service Technician – Central Texas (Travel Role) Short‑Term Project | March–April $25/hr + Paid Travel | Contract We are hiring a Field Service Technician for a short‑term, store‑by‑store retail hardware deployment across Central Texas, including: San Antonio, New Braunfels, Live Oak, Sunset Valley, Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Leander, Kyle, Pflugerville, Waco, Killeen, Temple, and College Station. What You’ll Do + Replace legacy PIN pads with M450 devices + Route, secure, and clean up cabling + Test and validate device functionality with store leadership + Complete verification forms and upload documentation + Capture required photos at each register Requirements + PC Technician or Field Service experience + Strong troubleshooting and installation skills + Ability to follow detailed instructions + Cable management experience preferred + Must pass a 7‑year lived background check Tools Needed Bring Your Own: + Screwdriver set + Box cutter + Tamper‑proof bit set + Wire cutters Provided/Expensed: + Velcro straps + Zip ties + Mounting tape + Alcohol wipes Travel Pay + Mileage paid for travel beyond 50 miles or 1+ hour + Hotel covered for longer routes + Per diem for approved overnight stays Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.
