Job Title: Travel Administrator 
Salary: £24,637.57 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Weekly Contractual Hours: 37.5 (8AM to 4.30PM- Monday to Friday)

Join our dynamic Base Administration Office team at MOD Lyneham and become the trusted travel expert for the Armed Forces personnel. In this pivotal role, you'll manage and coordinate a wide range of travel arrangements, ensuring smooth journeys for personnel who serve our nation.
You'll be the central point of contact for all travel needs, using an online booking system and working closely with external agencies, booking companies, and budget holders. This position offers variety, with opportunities to rotate through different responsibilities and gain new skills—full training provided.

The role provides a dedicated focal point for personnel administration, including direct customer interaction and liaison with supervisors and managers. Responsibilities include arranging travel in line with requests by using online booking systems and coordinating with booking companies, budget holders, and customers to ensure the most cost-effective travel options are secured. The position involves collating and maintaining budget-related information, protecting personnel data, and carrying out data input across various online systems. All activities must be conducted in accordance with Defence policies, Health and Safety regulations, and General Data Protection Regulations. The role also requires undertaking any additional tasks as directed by the Line Manager, including providing support or cover for other staff during periods of absence.

The ideal candidate will be versatile, intuitive, and professional, demonstrating sound judgement and absolute integrity in every aspect of their work. They must be proactive and adaptable, able to respond quickly to the changing needs of the business and customers while remaining calm under pressure. The role requires a reliable and well-presented individual who consistently projects a positive image and upholds Mitie's core values. In addition, the candidate must have a proven track record of delivering high-quality administration and customer-facing service, be a credible and effective verbal and written communicator capable of building strong working relationships, be IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office applications, and have the ability to manage short-notice changes to requirements and deadlines.

MOD Security clearance and DBS Standard is requirement, as well as Proof of right to work in UK. Candidate will be required to wear approved company uniform.
