Trauma Registrar

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Northridge Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Trauma Registrar to transform raw patient data into meaningful insights that drive improvements in patient care.

Your main responsibility is to accurately track, maintain, and manage critical patient information in our trauma registry, making sure all data meets our quality and precision standards. Your meticulous work is essential to maintaining a high-quality, reliable trauma database and to effective program evaluation.


Responsibilities: 

Perform accurate data abstraction from complex patient medical records.Apply correct AIS (Abbreviated Injury Scale) and ICD-10 injury coding during the data entry process.Precisely complete Trauma Patient Summary forms (TPS 1 and TPS 2) within designated timelines.Ensure all required patient information is accurately entered into the LA County TEMIS system.Utilize established computer networks and software for data entry and retrieval.Collaborate closely with the Trauma Registry Supervisor and Trauma Program Manager to guarantee data integrity and quality.
Job Requirements
High School Graduate / GED required. Minimum (1) year of general office secretarial/clerical experience required. Prior medical office, hospital/acute care environment required. Fire Safety, within 90 Days of start date required.
