ResponsibilitiesManage all components of the Trauma Registry, including data collection, data entry, and data retrieval/statistical conversion.
Review trauma admission records for data collection and abstraction.Analyze all records for quality assurance trauma standards recommended by governing bodies and as stipulated by regulatory groups.Perform the abstraction, coding (ICD) and application of all trauma data points in the registry taken primarily from inpatient trauma cases.Apprise program coordinator of all relevant trauma audit filter inconsistencies via periodic quality assurance reports. Produce various other quality assurance reports as directed.RequirementsLicensure / Certification / Registration:
Registrar specializing in Trauma Registry obtained within 36 Months (3 years) of hire date or job transfer date required.Education:
High school diploma or GED required.Additional PreferencesKey Attributes: 2+ years of experience in trauma registry abstraction, coding, clinical documentation review, or trauma program data management. Strong data accuracy skills. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and data integrity.
The ideal candidate will also have ICD10 coding experience or certification.
