Trauma Program Manager

This position is onsite 4 days per week at the AOB and 1 day work from home. Approximate hours are 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday.

Leads the trauma program with the trauma medical director (TMD) by assisting with the development, implementation, and evaluation of the program. Shows evidence of educational preparation and clinical experience in the care of injured as well as holds membership and actively participate in regional or national trauma organizations. Responsible for the organization of services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to providing care to injured patients, and for the operational and logistical aspects of the trauma performance improvement and patient safety program including, but not limited to the trauma registry, research, injury prevention, and outreach. Assumes day-to-day responsibility for process and performance improvement activities for nursing and ancillary personnel. Leads the program, and will be accountable for the initiation and completion of the business and quality management plans for Trauma Services. Ensures compliance with all applicable quality and accreditation standards within Trauma Services. Ensures verification as a Trauma Center with the American College of Surgeons. Coordinates management across the continuum of trauma care, which includes the planning and implementation of clinical protocols and practice management guidelines, monitoring care of injured patient throughout their spectrum of care, and serving as a resource for clinical practice. Manages ongoing analysis, development, and implementation of methods and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of services and functions.

Master's degree in Nursing preferred; Bachelor's degree required. Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires clinical experience that includes at least 2 years of trauma care. Requires maintaining 16 hours of trauma-related continuing education per year. Requires involvement in regional or national trauma organizations within 1 year of hire.
