Work location: Texas Health Arlington Memorial, 800 West Randol Mill Rd., Arlington, TX 76012
Work hours: Part-time Evenings, 24 hours weekly, 2:30pm to 11:00pm timeframe, three days a week with some weekends. The position will serve trauma patients.
Here's what you need:
+ ADN required; BSN preferred
+ Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
+ BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
+ ACLS - within 90 days of hire required
+ PALS - within 90 days of hire required OR ENPC - upon hire required
+ TNCC or ATCN - upon hire required
+ 3-years Trauma/Surgical Intensive Care and/or Emergency Department related experience required
+ Progressive leadership responsibility preferred
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will
+ demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
+ maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude
+ possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
+ have basic computer skills using medical management application systems
What you will do
* Quality/Performance Improvement:
* Engages staff to promote evidence based practices within the unit
* Monitors key performance indicators (KPI's) and regulatory requirements for compliance.
* Evaluates the outcome of patient care, consults with others on the patient care team, and adjusts nursing care processes as needed to improve outcomes.
* Participates in policy development and mentors staff regarding policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Incorporates THR philosophy in working with peers, and other members of the health care team. Partners with physicians to advance physician engagement.
* Demonstrates accountability and responsibility by independently completing projects/assignments on time.
