**Department:** PACU-Pain **Daily Work Hours:** 9:30am - 6:00pm **Scheduled Hours per Pay: 80** **Position Summary:** Transports patients and supplies to and from patient care areas and various other departments. Supports nursing staff. **Essential Functions and Responsibilities:** + Transports patients between departments and units as directed + Supports nursing staff by performing nurse aide duties when needed + Transports specimens, supplies and equipment to and from departments as directed + Stocks patient care areas and compiles charts + Performs other department related duties as assigned **Required:** + High school diploma or equivalent + Successful completion of a Nurse Aide training program, or 6 months experience as a Nursing Assistant in a Healthcare facility, or completion of fundamentals if enrolled in an Accredited School of Nursing program + BLS certification within 3 months of hire **Preferred:** + Current State of Michigan certification + Previous experience as a Nurse Aide + Medical terminology **Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans**
