Transportation Supervisor
**Job Overview:** **Transporation Supervisor - Allentown, PA** The individual will be responsible for planning Common Carrier and Fleet Transportation loads, as well as managing service metrics, within a territory that encompasses PA, NY, and NJ, with the potential to expand into other regions. **Shift & Schedule:** This position supports our 24-hour Sunday–Friday schedule, working **12 pm to 8 pm.** Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled is required. **Compensation:** This is an exempt, salaried position paid on a biweekly cycle. Compensation is flexible and determined by the candidate's level of experience. **Position Responsibilities:** + Responsible for Transportation, both Dedicated carriers and Internal KDP Splash Fleet load routing and planning + To assign, audit, and manage the activity of the loads through Ryder (3PL) or multiple portal avenues. + Ensure full compliance according to FMCSA, DOT, and KDP Policies for Splash Fleet + Ensure that the customer interface is managed in the most effective manner 50%: Operational Responsibility for Internal KDP Splash Fleet (Incl: Pa, NY, and NJ) + Lead a team of drivers on a day-to-day basis. Including: raw material inbounds to the plant, 3rd party revenue lanes, local shuttle moves, and outbound branch deliveries. + Confirm DOT/FMCSA and safety regulations are followed per driver, including monthly safety meetings, JJ Keller driver files, driver/truck audits, DVIR process, ELD audits, and system knowledge. + Identify, review, and implement backhaul operations to meet/exceed budgetary revenue targets + Work closely with the fleet team on equipment requirements (including PMs, communication on repairs needed, fuel cards, etc.) + Managing a fleet of tractors and trailers to ensure equipment availability in multiple drop sites. 20%: Manage interactions and relationships with all customers and stakeholders, including: Drivers, Manufacturing, Planning, Ryder (3PL). + Effective communication day to day with plants, branches, suppliers, and drivers + Relationship building and continuous communication with backhaul customers + Effective communication with internal shipping office personnel + Knowledgeable and/or open to learn systems required for the position (TMS/Mastermind, SAP, Spireon, Fleetworthy, Geotab, Kronos, Ryder, etc.) 15%: Continuous Improvement in both Cost and Service for KDP Internal Fleet + Review and improve upon the baseline for transportation costs + Analyzing fleet vs. carrier cost and service for best practices + Provide input to optimize the network and align capacity across regions 15%: Develop and Maintain Cost and Service Metrics for Transport Group Operations + Understand the scorecard for transportation costs, including cost to operate vs. target cost, on-time performance, primary carrier utilization, and % handled by brokers.
