Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and analytical Transportation Planning Manager to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will lead our transportation planning efforts, developing innovative solutions to address the city's evolving mobility needs.

Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive transportation plans for the Dubai metropolitan areaLead a team of transportation planners, engineers, and analysts in executing complex projectsCollaborate with government agencies, stakeholders, and community groups to align transportation initiatives with broader urban development goalsAnalyze traffic patterns, travel demand, and transportation infrastructure using advanced modeling techniquesDevelop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery of transportation plansPresent transportation plans and recommendations to senior leadership, government officials, and the publicStay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in transportation planning and incorporate them into local strategiesEnsure compliance with local and national transportation policies and regulationsPromote sustainable and efficient transportation solutions that enhance mobility and quality of life for Dubai residents

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred12 years of progressive experience in transportation planning, with a proven track record of successful project managementProficiency in transportation planning software such as TransCAD and VissimStrong skills in GIS software and data analysis toolsExcellent project management abilities, including budget oversight and team leadershipOutstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiencesIn-depth knowledge of urban transportation systems, traffic flow analysis, and sustainable transportation solutionsFamiliarity with transportation policies and regulations in the UAE and international best practicesProfessional certifications such as AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) or PE (Professional Engineer) are highly desirableDemonstrated ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex transportation challengesExperience working in rapidly growing urban environments is a plusFluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
