**Job Description**
AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Planner II to be based in Austin, TX.
**Job details:**
+ Support technology division in performing feasibility studies focused on emerging technology solutions.
+ Perform research on connected and autonomous vehicle (CAV) technology and emerging infrastructure technology to assist with project alternatives and solutions.
+ Develop a comprehensive understanding of smart mobility solutions and strategies to improve safety and mobility.
+ Collect a variety of statistical data and prepare reports and maps on topics such as census information, land use, annual average daily traffic, origin and destinations, travel time reliability, crashes, etc.
+ Utilize GIS techniques and software to assist project teams to understand, interpret, visualize, and report geospatial data.
+ Prepare data and visualizations such as tables, charts, infographics for the interpretation or presentation of data, findings, or analyses.
+ Assist project team with the data analysis, evaluation, and interpretation of facts and data obtained during field investigations and desktop collection, offering input with developing action plans to address the needs of the community.
+ Assist with developing presentation material such as PowerPoints to present project status, alternative development, stakeholder presentations, etc.
+ Prepare drafts of technical memos, meeting minutes, and other written materials summarizing research with findings and conclusion.
+ May telecommute
**Qualifications**
+ Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in City Planning, Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Transportation Planning, or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
+ Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in City Planning, Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Transportation Planning, or a related field, and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Position requires:
1. Advanced Excel including pivot table, VLOOKUP, and VBA.
2. Experience in demographic, economic and transportation data collection and analysis.
3. Statistical and spatial analytic skills.
4. Experience in spatial data visualization, including static maps and interactive web maps.
5. GIS software products, including QGIS, ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, or ArcGIS Online.
6. Experience with data analysis software, including R studio, Python or PostgreSQL.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $79,976.00 - $99,174.40.
