Job Description:

Allied Universal® is hiring a Transportation Officer. The Transportation Officer is responsible for the safe and secure transportation of individuals from specified sites to designated points. The Transportation Officer will ensure that assigned vehicles are in safe and correct working order and that they are in complete control of the transport vehicles at all times, operating in a safe and legal manner.

Starting Base Pay: $22 per hour

Qualifications:

21+ Years of Age with A Valid SC Driver's License

Must be able to Provide HS Diploma or GED

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspect and prepare transportation vehicles for daily operation requirements; perform pre- and post-trip inspection of vehicles; fill out required paperwork to report any damage or defectsConduct pat-down searches; ensure that individuals are properly secured prior to leaving a facility, and while in a vehicle; ensure that all required paperwork is completed, accurately, and thoroughly when accepting individuals at a facility and delivering them to their appropriate destinationsSafe operation of vehicles; ensure that all safety and legal measures are always followed while transporting individuals, including but not limited to all applications federal, state, municipal and organizational laws, regulations, policies and proceduresRespond to emergencies and make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

High school diploma or equivalentCurrent and valid driver's licensePossess, or be able to obtain a Class D / Security Officer License Issued by the State of FloridaMinimum of two (2) years of driving experienceMinimum of two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following:Law enforcementMilitary PoliceCorrectionsEffective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly and accuratelyActive listening skillsAble to assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical Issues quickly and accuratelyAttention to detail; able to synthesize facts, concepts, principlesTeamwork skills; able to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

Possession of a current and valid Commercial Driver’s License with a Passenger endorsementFluency in multiple languages (reading, writing, and speaking)
