Kimley-Horn, a premier civil engineering and design consulting firm, is seeking a talented and experienced Transportation Engineer/Planner to join our team in our Orange, California office.
Responsibilities Lead and manage traffic studies, impact analyses, and traffic operations assessments for a variety of projects including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.Conduct and oversee data collection, traffic modeling, and analysis using industry-standard software and methodologies.Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.Prepare technical reports, presentations, and proposals.Mentor and train junior staff on traffic engineering principles and practices.Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and guidelines. Qualifications 2+ years of traffic engineering experience that could include:Preparing and/or reviewing traffic impact studies for small and large projectsPreparing parking studiesPreparing site access and circulation studiesBachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering"Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)Experience using Synchro, VISSIM, and/or other traffic analysis software applicationsCommunicating technical thoughts clearly and conciselyExcellent technical writing skillsDetail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environmentAbility to work independently and as a teamSalary Range:
$100,000 to $115,000
