Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transportation Delivery Manager to join the Enterprise Capabilities Digital team at AECOM.

Job Summary:

The Transportation Delivery Manager will be the primary technical contact for the delivery of major transport projects across Enterprise Capabilities (EC) Digital. This will include all Enterprise Critical Pursuits and Tier 2 projects that EC Digital take on. As AECOM move to standardize how our largest projects are delivered, this role will take on various responsibilities, such as determining project delivery strategy for all transport projects through to development and implementation of technical processes and standards.

The Transportation Delivery Manager will be joined by other Global Business Line specific digital implementation leads that will form part of the wider Delivery Planning and Assurance team (DPA) in EC Digital.

Key Responsibilities:

Determining the technology stack to be used to deliver projects, from the standardized Cornerstone tool setsDetermining project data standard requirements to be implemented on projectsOutlining the digital production processes to be used by project delivery teamsWorking with Planning to identify suitable resources and outline project programsWorking with Assurance to proactively monitor projects during delivery, to ensure they continuously meet all quality metricsEnabling EC Digital’s Delivery Service and the wider organization to successfully adopt project execution standardCollaborating with all other digital implementation leads and the wider DPA team to continuously improve our standardized delivery approach for major projects

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this critical role, you will need to have significant experience of delivering large, complex transport projects. You will have a sound technical understanding of various technologies used to deliver such projects, as well as common delivery standards and processes. You will also be capable of acting a leader in this field, comfortable with simultaneously influencing project teams to take up the standardized project delivery approach whilst also influencing up the way to senior digital leadership in the organization.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years’ experience working on delivery of large, complex transportation projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership5 years working in a digital leadership role in a large engineering organizationThorough understanding of Industry-standard platforms (Autodesk, Bentley, GIS platforms).Thorough understanding of industry standard project delivery authoring technologies and their application to engineering design and/or construction.Extensive experience with the Bentley delivery suite, and experience with Autodesk Civil 3DThorough understanding of international standards such as ISO 19650 and how they are applied within various Common Data Environment (CDE) technologiesProven ability to lead and influence within a large organizationExcellent communications skills, enabling you to bridge the gap between technical and business issues related to project deliveryProject management skills, with a focus on integrating digital into, planning, delivery, or operationsProven ability to engage in the proposal and bid processes to articulate digital capabilitiesLeadership experience managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational changeComputation Design methods and technologiesThrough understanding programming skills related to data management or model authoring, using traditional coding or low-code methodsKnowledge of regional market dynamics, client expectations, and regulatory frameworks

Preferred Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as: Architectural, Engineering or Construction Management (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related)Certifications: Industry Certification (Professional institutions, Vendor Certified Professional) and/ or Project Management Professional (PMP)Experience - 5+years working in a digital leadership role in a large engineering organization
